What is Replit?

Replit is a browser-based development environment whose AI agent creates, tests, and publishes fully functional apps from natural-language prompts via Replit Deployments. The free starter tier allows first steps with limited agent credits; the Core plan unlocks more credits, private projects, and hosting.

Replit is more than an AI builder, though: at its core it's a full-fledged cloud IDE with an editor, terminal, package management, and database, all running entirely in the browser. The AI agent sits on top and handles creating and adapting whole projects from prompts, while you can step into the code yourself at any time.
